This nun is the oldest person in the world: Here is what she drinks every day

A 118-year-old nun living in a nursing home in France has become the oldest living person in the world, according to Guinness World Records.

Sister André is also the oldest living nun in the world and the oldest nun ever. Born Lucile Randon on February 11, 1904, Sister André has devoted most of her life to religious service. Before becoming a Catholic nun, she cared for children during World War II and then spent 28 years caring for orphans and the elderly in a hospital.

She is also the oldest survivor in the world from Covid-19. According to Guinness, she became infected in early 2021 and fully recovered within three weeks, exactly at the time of her 117th birthday.

"I think I would be better off in heaven, but good God does not love me yet," she told French television channel RMC Story, calling the title a "sad honor."

Sister André loves chocolate and wine. She drinks a glass of wine every day, confirmed to CNN.

Sister André became the world’s oldest after the death of Kane Tanaka, a Japanese woman previously certified as the world’s oldest person, who passed away at the age of 119 on April 19th.

According to many studies, wine has many benefits for longevity because it protects the brain from diseases that come with aging; improves memory; reduces the risk of heart disease; promotes eye health; reduces the risk of cancer; improves dental health; lowers cholesterol levels; helps prevent colds.
