Comedian and actor Bob Saget, who was found dead in his hotel room in Orlando, Florida last month, died of a head trauma, according to a statement from his family.
"Authorities have determined that Bob suffered a head trauma. They concluded that he accidentally hit the back of his head on something, thought nothing of it and went to sleep," the statement said. "No drugs or alcohol were identified."
Saget's widow, Kelly Rizzo, told Good Morning America in an interview last month that he appeared to be in good health before his death and that infection with Covid in December "was nothing serious".
Saget became famous thanks to his role in "Full House" and later as the host of "America's Funniest Home Videos". His name was also recognized by a new generation of fans as the narrator and voice of Ted Mosby's future in "How I Met Your Mother".
During his career, Saget was praised for his stand-up comedies. His 2015 album, "That's What I'm Talkin 'About", was nominated for a Grammy for Best Comedy Album.
