At some point in life, we all felt lonely regardless of whether we accepted it out loud or not. The feeling is challenging and affects our every activity, so it is important to treat coping with loneliness in a healthy way.
What do therapists do when they feel lonely?
1. Acknowledge what they are feeling.
You can not help but feel lonely if you do not initially acknowledge what you feel. You need to seek help without thinking about how vulnerable you look. Just by acknowledging it with yourself and others, you are taking the first step to fix things.
2. Search for interaction
Seek to connect with people in the most realistic and real ways. Have in-depth conversations with others, even if they are unfamiliar to you. This way you will meet new people and enjoy moments you have not lived in for a long time.
3. Fight the feeling of loneliness
When psychologists feel alone, they try to reconnect with themselves. Often the feeling of loneliness comes because you are not connected enough to yourself as you should be, so take all the time you need to get back to basics.
4. Get out for a few minutes
Return to nature! Take some time to look at what is happening around you and realize that you are part of it. Walking is a good way to overcome loneliness.
