This is a mystery that has plagued pop and Harry Styles fans for a long time: What is the true meaning of the Grammy-winning hit "Watermelon Sugar"? 

Many ideas and assumptions have been that the song refers to women’s orgasm, but no answer has ever been given, so far.

At a show in Nashville, Tennessee on Oct. 1, Styles finally revealed the meaning of the song.

"This song is about ... it does not matter much what it is about. It is about the sweetness of life," he says as he sings. "It's also for female orgasm, but that's not important," he adds.

The explanation is accompanied by a series of cheers.

Part of the text says:

"It tastes like strawberries, on a summer evening. It 's so wonderful and warm .. [...] I just want to taste it."
