Jaden Smith will open a restaurant, but the goal is not to make money!

Variety shows that 22-year-old Jaden Smith, son of Wil Smith and Jada Pinkett Smith, will open a restaurant to give free meals to homeless people.

The musician, actor and philanthropist said his goal was to provide "healthy, vegan-free food" to those in need in Los Angeles' Skid Row area. With the "I Love You" restaurant, Jaden wants those who can afford to pay for their meal to spend a little more (willingly) as a means of paying and the homeless person's meal.

"If you are not homeless, not only do you have to pay, but you can pay more than the value of the food so that you can pay for the person behind you," he explained.

Smith's idea to help has been around since April last year. During that time, he sent packages containing food, masks, clothes, and disinfectants.

In October, Jaden launched his latest philanthropic project: "Water Box", a filtration system that helps provide water to struggling areas to get the source they need. Smith started his venture in Flint, Michigan, a country that has been in a water crisis. Through his efforts, Jaden was able to provide the equivalent of at least 300,000 bottles of water

"At any moment, we can create a new version of the world," he says. "I believe the next thing that will make a difference may be very close to us."
