Silva Bino: What is happening and what is expected to happen with Covid-19 in

Invited to "Abc News", Silva Bino spoke about the phenomenon of increased hospitalization in the Infectious Diseases Hospital. The head of the Infectious Diseases Department stressed, among other things, that severe forms have recently been noticed among young people.

"We hope that these figures will decrease, raising awareness not only of the population, but also of implementing measures through the police often. When people are not aware of protecting others, then the police intervene. "- said Bino, adding that the virulence of Covid-19 has not yet decreased.

"The covid virus in most cases causes mild illness or can be asymptomatic in some groups of young people. There is a higher mortality rate than the flu and the facts have shown that it is not something invented. We have a high number of cases, we have a high number of hospitalizations, we have a high number of deaths.

There is nothing to invent here. As for the anti-vaccine groups which have become very vocal, recently, without grounds. Albania has not signed any agreement in this regard. The vaccine is still in its early stages in various parts of the world. Vaccines have been an important element in the progress of humanity and their health. "

Bino suggested that with the arrival of autumn, everyone should "prepare for the worst," as during the coldest season people will be faced with two diseases; coronavirus and influenza.

"The combination of these two diseases that have similar clinical signs will increase the numbers, but also the demand for medical services.

It will be seen if these two viruses will be in competition with each other or if someone will take the place of the other. It remains to be seen. We have to prepare for the worst. '' - she concluded.
