Actor Cole Sprouse and Lily Reinhart have ended the relationship, citing People and Page Six sources.

This is not the first time there has been talk of a split. In July 2019, a source for E! News said "they were no longer living together during the filming of Riverdale." At the time, the source said, "they tried to stay away from each other." However, in July, Lily Reinhart dismissed the allegations by posting a photo on the cover of W Magazine.

Lily Reinhart and Cole Sprouse were recognized at the Riverdale stage. Their characters, Betty Cooper and Jughead, fall in love at the end of the first season, and apparently that's what happened to the actors.

The rumors started in July 2017, after they were seen very close to each other during Comic-Con. Although they continued to spend time together and promote speculation, they did not publicly acknowledge the connection until the 2018 Met Gala, where they went as a couple.

"It's not something we hide or something we publish," Sprouse told GQ in March 2019. "It's just something that exists."
