Under the motto "I love you life!", The staff of Alpha Bank Albania in cooperation with the Albanian Red Cross organized on February 14th, for the tenth consecutive year, "Blood Donation Day".

Mrs. Erjona Çela, Retail Banking Business Director and member of the Bank's Directorate said: ?Throughout the 22 years that Alpha Bank operates in Albania, we as an institution have continuously supported initiatives in the fields of medical, educational, social, environmental, cultural, sports, etc. Part of our corporate culture is the voluntary commitment of our staff, who is always present in every initiative taken. I am happy that this is the tenth year that Bank staff has made such a valuable and humane contribution as donating blood. I would like to invite all Albanian society to become regular blood donors, as the blood donated is never enough. "

According to the Albanian Red Cross, in our country the annual blood needs are about 30,000 units of blood, while about 20,000 units are collected; about 600 patients with thalassemia need to receive blood each month, excluding those who are in urgent need of blood, or patients who need surgery.

To raise awareness of the community about the importance of blood donation, Alpha Bank Albania launched an awareness campaign on social communication channels, inviting everyone to join this initiative to save lives.
