This place in Italy sells home for only 1 euro!

The latest trend that has captivated the world: the promise of making yourself a home in a deep but very picturesque village of Italy for only 1 euro!

From the mountain of the village of Ollali to the island of Sardinia, Italy has something to see.

Taranto, a port in the Gulf of Puglia, has been facing a population decline for years, and senior officials want to give it back what it deserves!

One of Taranto's legacy members, Francesca Viggiano, tells CNN that the country is ready to donate houses located in the old part of town, at a symbolic price of just 1 euro.

After purchasing the building, of course new homeowners must renovate it; a process that will cost several thousand dollars more.

This strategy is done to save characteristic buildings from depreciation and increase population.

The Puglia region is known for its unique culinary, stone-built houses and very interesting coastal views, but this area is very poor in terms of tourists if we compare it to Tuscany.

Taranto is also known for its steel mills, whose future is in question. If they were closed due to pollution, this would have a minor impact on the country's economy.

The goal of the locals is to give this place where there is always spring, a new life! Even the renovation of buildings will be done in the typical architectural style, to preserve the history of the place.
