This Christmas, visitors to the Kempinski Hotel Bahia, near Marbella, Spain, will be relaxing their eyes watching a tree decorated with diamonds, precious stones and jewelry.

The tree, decorated with red, white, pink and black diamonds, designed by designer Debbie Wingham, is worth $ 15 million or $ 1,644,000,000.

In addition to diamonds, jewelry from Bulgari, Cartier, Van Cleef & Arpels and Chanel is also found on the tree. By far, this is thought to be the most expensive Christmas tree in the world.

The previous record was held by a tree at The Emirates Palace Hotel in Abu Dhabi, decorated with bracelets, pendants and watches, valued at $ 11 million and entered in the Guinness Book of Records.

By 2016, the record was held by a tree of some $ 1.8 million worth of jewelers in Tokyo.
