Model and activist Mama Cax, whose real name is Cacsmy Brutus, passed away at the age of 30. The news was leaked late Friday, via her Instagram account.
"To say that Cax was a fighter would be an understatement," the post reads. ?As a cancer survivor, she was accustomed to taking on the challenges and succeeding. With the same dedication she fought in the last days on Earth. ?
Earlier this month, Cax informed followers that she had suffered from severe abdominal pain and went to London urgently because of a blood clot. The latest post on Instagram reveals that the model stayed in hospital for a week and passed away on Monday.
Mama Cax, who celebrated her 30th birthday in November, was born in New York but raised in Haiti. In her last years, she worked as a blogger, activist, model and organized a series of meetings to motivate others.
Three years ago, she made the network lap and inspired the whole world with her story.

At age 14, Cax was diagnosed with osteosarcoma, a rare form of bone cancer. At that time, doctors gave him only three weeks to live. However, she managed to survive the illness, despite the price she had to pay. Doctors performed an operation, unsuccessfully, from which Cax lost one leg.
Despite the difficulties, the model completed her Bachelor and Master of International Studies. She studied in New York, France, Tunisia and Rome.
Her story and desire not to give up made Caz one of the most talked about. The model debuted successfully at New York Fashion Week by attending the Tommy Hilfiger and Savage x Fenty shows. Also in 2016 she was named by Glamor as one of the women of the year. Among other things, he collaborated with Olay, Target and Asos.
