According to the Henley Passport Index, the most powerful passport of 2018 is the Japanese one. Japanese passport holders can travel without the need for a visa in more than one other passport.
Japanese nationals gained the right to free travel to Myanmar, thus having visa-free or visa-free access to the destination in 190 countries. Singapore's passport, once the most powerful, provides visa-free access to 189 countries.
Third, there are German, French and South-South passports. The United States passport fell fifth, with access to 186 states, after Denmark, Finland, Italy, Sweden and Spain. The United States and Great Britain were ranked first in 2015 with the most powerful passports.
The UAE climbed from 62nd place in 2006, 21st to 2018th. A UAE passport provides visa-free access to 161 countries around the world.
