October is an international month of awareness of breast cancer. Like every year, world-renowned figures raise their voice to encourage women to pay attention to health and thus prevent dangerous diseases such as breast cancer.
Tennis star Serena Williams has recently published an awareness video featuring topless and covering her chest with her hands. In the video, Williams sings a piece of hit "I Touch Myself" by The Divinyls.
"I love you, I want you to love me too. I'm looking for myself, I want you to find me. I forgot myself, I want to remind you, "says one part of the text.
Serena also posted this on her Instagram account.
"In this month's awareness of breast cancer, I brought a world hit version to remind women to be regularly checked. This brings me out of my comfort zone, but I wanted to do it because it is a phenomenon that affects us all. Women of any color, anywhere in the world. Early detection is the key, saving so many lives. I want women to remember it, "she writes.
The song in question was written for Chrissy Amphlett, the singer of the group in question who lost her life as a result of breast cancer in 2013.
