While the eyes of tourists from all over the world are on Paris this summer, for a few days of vacation or for a different tourist experience, it seems that London is another city that is "stealing" everyone's attention. The British capital has just been crowned as the best city in the world to live and work in, while this result was published by the international company "Resonance". This company publishes one of the world's most prestigious and comprehensive rankings of the 100 most popular urban areas for everyone to live, work and visit.
"London remains at the top of the list of all European cities. Regardless of the consequences of the Covid pandemic or economic problems and Brexit, this city is part of the list of the best places to live and work," says one of the company's representatives.
The company "Resonance" uses a methodology that examines data from more than 400 cities with a population of more than one million inhabitants and ranks each one in three main categories: standard of living, love and development. These categories include multiple subcategories related to a city's ability to attract talent, visitors, or new business openings. London earned top marks for living standards, as well as educational and cultural achievements.
After Dubai and Doha, London had the third highest tourism spend in the world at nearly $16.07 billion.
Paris is second in the list of "Resonances" for the best cities in the world. The French capital scored perfect for tourism and cuisine, but fared poorly in the development category, coming in 14th place, an indicator of the poverty rate among full-time Parisians. New York was ranked third, followed by Tokyo and Singapore in fourth and fifth place respectively.
Dubai, which "Resonance" has called the "Vegas of Arabia", is sixth and San Francisco is the seventh city in this ranking. Then come cities like Barcelona, ??Amsterdam and Seoul, as the last three countries that complete the top 10 list of the best places to live, work and visit during 2024.
