At least 10 people have been killed and over 25 others injured after a shooting at Tumbler Ridge High School in British Columbia.
The suspected perpetrator was found dead inside the school, while two other people were found dead in an apartment believed to be related to the incident.
Canadian police say the motive remains unclear and investigations are still ongoing.
France calls for witnesses in case of former teacher accused of abusing 89 minors

French prosecutors have called for new witnesses in the case against 79-year-old former teacher Jacques Leveugle, accused of raping and sexually abusing 89 minors since the 1960s in several countries.
Authorities made his name public to encourage other potential victims to speak out, while the investigation must be closed by 2026 due to legal deadlines.
Jacques Leveugle has also admitted to strangling his mother and aunt, even calling himself "a boy lover, but kind" and targeting teenage boys aged 13 to 17.
European Parliament political groups agree on EU-US trade deal

The political groups of the European Parliament have reached an agreement on the EU-US trade agreement, which was signed by Donald Trump and Ursula von der Leyen in July 2025 and still needs to be formally approved.
The agreement provides for a 15% tariff on European exports to the US and a reduction in tariffs on US goods to the EU to zero, but its approval has been discussed in recent weeks due to Trump's threats to take control of Greenland.
After the final vote in parliament, negotiations will begin with EU member states to determine the final text of the agreement.
Norway's defense chief warns Russia could invade to protect nuclear resources

Norway's defense chief, General Eirik Kristoffersen, warned that Russia could take action in northern Norway to protect its nuclear resources located near the Norwegian border, on the Kola Peninsula.
However, he acknowledged that Russia did not have the same invasion intentions in Norway as in Ukraine or other former Soviet territories.
But, he added that if Russia dared to attack the country, it would be involved in a conflict with NATO.
