After more than two years apart due to mandatory military service in South Korea, all seven members of BTS reunited this month, celebrating the 12th anniversary of their group's formation. The celebrations were held on June 13 and 14 in Goyang, near Seoul, and were attended by over 60,000 fans from around the world.
Those days, six of the group's members, Jin, J-Hope, RM, Jimin, V, and Jungkook, had completed their military service, while the last member, Suga, officially completed his duty on June 21.
Suga took an alternative form of service due to a previous injury, working as a civilian employee. However, he was not allowed to participate in professional activities until his service was officially completed.
During the FESTA event where the group held their reunion, the members surprised fans with their presence. On stage, J-Hope, Jin, and Jungkook performed songs like "Jamais Vu," "Seven," and "Don't Say You Love Me," while RM, Suga, Jimin, and V stayed in the audience, enjoying the excitement along with their fans, ARMY.
This reunion marks a pivotal moment for BTS and their fans, who have been eagerly awaiting the group's return as a full-fledged group. Although no official date has yet been given for their upcoming projects, their management company, HYBE, has confirmed that BTS will return with group activities in late 2025 or early 2026. A new album and world tour are in the works, with plans expected to be revealed soon.
After a period where each member worked on solo projects and fulfilled military obligations, the group is ready to write the next chapter of its history, a comeback that is eagerly awaited by millions of fans around the world.
