Despite the severe pandemic events of the last 12 months there has been no change in the first place when it comes to ranking the happiest country in the world. For the fourth year in a row, Finland tops the annual list provided by data from the Gallup World Survey.
Finland is followed by Iceland, Denmark, Switzerland and the Netherlands.
"We urgently need to learn from Covid-19," Jeffrey Sachs, co-editor of the report and professor and director of the Center for Sustainable Development at Columbia University, told CNN.

In terms of the ranking of happiness (based on living estimates) in 2020 compared to the period 2017-2019, Albania is ranked 64/95 countries.
In terms of happiness for the period 2018-2020, it ranks 93rd out of 149 countries in total.
