Every day in Anabel's inbox on Facebook or on our Instagram page @anabel_hostel, there are people wondering when it starts. When I say it every day, I do not exaggerate.
And it's actually weird, because we ended on June 3, so not even three months have passed, but people are counting the time, with the time of the television programs that close the season in June and resume in September. But we are not on the television agenda and moreover, our products are very creative and require a great deal of brainstorming and production time.
When will it be officially broadcast?
There is no exact date, but I think we will be ready by the end of January 2020. Don't be scared people by the year, that 2020 sounds like a futuristic movie, but it's only 3 months away and the months go by very fast.
Will there be any changes this season to "Hostel by Anabel"?
"Hostel" this season will be an extraordinary adventure of Meg, Deas, Viola, Anna and Alberta, a reality show that mixes reality with satire. In fact, satire is also the theme of this season, inspired by the situation in the country, with the desire to help and emancipate the younger generation.
What will really happen?
It's a secret, I'm super excited until I finish the first series, but I'll tell you that it's going to be something very innovative in concept, a lot of humor, but also a lot of truth inside.
But what inspired you, at least you can tell us?
The last one to stamp it was Albin Kurti. But so.
What about # Love # Likes # Tirana what will happen?
I can tell you more about that. The mini-series, last season, was accidentally put inside a program, as we didn't expect it to become so entertaining, because of course it was just fine. This season the episode "With the Trial", the girls' reality adventure and Anabel Lab will be cut from the series, which this year is heavy industry.
In what sense?
Season two will actually be a spin-off from Season 1 of #LLT, where the main characters will be saved, but they will be included in much larger events, affecting not only romantic relationships but other areas as well. of our daily life. Each series will be 45 minutes long and if done as I have it in my head, I think it will be the first genuine Albanian series at the level of international serials.
When you say "will touch other areas", will it become more serious?
In fact, a strange thing happens when writing about today's reality, because as I write, I as a screenwriter also do research, read all the time, get informed and consequently get the load of reality. This reality, no matter how much I try to embellish it, also has many dramas inside that I don't need to talk about, because you all know so much better. Some dramas e.g. injustice, they have become so part of our daily routine that we spend with humor, laugh at them and other drama, always lead to a very dark place within you and it is impossible to find humor in them. This is how the series is conceived. There are scenes of humor and meme, as well as scenes when you are really touched, nervous. are you shocked etc.
When you say "spin-off" does it mean it will no longer be called # Love # Likes # Tirana?
Yes. Currently the provisional title is "The Price of Love" although I'm not too sure about it (laughs). In a place where the selling and buying of the soul has become commonplace, what can not be bought? It's the question. It's a series that questions many topics from love, connection to the past, rich-poor relationship, why we are these Albanians who we are today, and what I find very important: Relationship with family.
In this new elaboration, are you particularly inspired somewhere?
In fact I got the spunton from the "Stranger Things" series that I love very much but has nothing to do with it because it's not a science fiction like ST. In this Netflix series, 5 children discover the "Upside Down" world, a new, very dark dimension parallel to their world.
Even in the new series, Zoi, Luna, Lina, Erion, Iris and Jenny, 6 people trying to have a normal life in Albania, with normal conversations like love, salary increase, taxes, school, work, sudden face another dark dimension of Albanian reality that drives them to question morality and love. We are all good people when nothing happens and we have nothing in hand, but who are we if our interest is hurt? Who are we if we gain power? We are capable of scanning a person and finding problems when we do not love him, but when we fall in love with him? Are we willing to accept it as it is? So there are many questions that arise from facing two realities.
45 minutes and with this kind of extended theme, will it continue on Youtube again?
Normally, it should be for Netflix (laughs). I believe in television, or on a platform. We want to see this series in Albania as well as in Kosovo, Macedonia and the diaspora. Everyone will find themselves.
Will there be new characters?
There will definitely be many new characters and we have just started casting. This time I think besides our oysters that I believe managed their characters successfully and this year will be even better because they have already started acting courses for improvement, the other characters will be professional actors.
What about when the series is about to start?
I'm not too worried about the date, than I'm really worried about a really good thing coming out of the concept, the script I've rewritten many times (laughs), photography, audio, acting, directing and so on. costume. I do not believe that something is rushing me and I want to have all the time to do it not as best as I can, but better than I thought I would. Let's see.
Are you afraid that people will not embrace the new Hostel format and the fact that #LLT will be missing?
Anything well done, will be embraced. We don't betray people, we just try to improve ourselves first and bring them an even better product. What we want to bring this time, trust us, will be the best of these three years, but like anything good, even though our ability is to make it look easy on screen, it's really very difficult to accomplishment and requires a tremendous amount of work. So people have a little patience, because good things are delayed, but when they do, they will fill their day and weeks, as the two previous seasons of "Hostel by Anabel" have done.
