The court session against the famous singer was held yesterday, while Justin was not physically present due to his engagement with the tour around Europe. The judge of the case, Carl Irace, made the decision to suspend the driver's license of the singer Timberlake, this only for New York.
The session was held virtually and the pop star was also present, who will perform today in Belgium, after the day before he sang in front of his admirers in Munich, Germany.
We recall that on June 18, Justin was seen driving his car on Madison Street, after leaving a bar where he was staying with some friends. The singer did not obey the police order to stop, while he did not respect the traffic lights.
Timberlake was formally charged with DUI, but was released on bail.
"The charge was a single charge because he refused a breathalyzer test," said Timberlake's attorney, Ed Burke. "The singer was also charged with two other violations, such as disobeying a police officer's order to stop and driving in the wrong lane."
"The most important detail in this situation is the fact that Justin was not intoxicated and should not have been arrested by the police," Burke said in defense of his client. "The police made a number of mistakes in his case, while Justin has tried to respect their work and the law both in relation to the police and the court. We are convinced that the charges will be dropped and the singer's driving license will be restored," concluded Justin's lawyer.
