Travis Scott is very upset after the Astroworld Music Festival turned into a deadly brawl Friday night in Houston, Texas.
"He stopped the concert to make sure people were well," a PageSix source said. "There is a video of him continuing to sing, but he did not understand what was happening. When he realized, he stopped the concert. "
"He is really upset - he had no idea what was going on, he was on stage performing," the source added. "He was in tears." We also know that girlfriend Kylie Jenner is "by his side now and supports him".
Kylie was present with her three-year-old daughter, Storm, shortly before the crowd began to "squeeze" towards the front of the stage.
"People started falling down, losing consciousness and that created additional panic," Houston fire chief Samuel Peña told a news conference. At least 23 people were rushed to hospital, 11 of whom suffered cardiac arrest. About 300 people were also treated at a hospital on the scene. Eight participants in the concert passed away.
"I am absolutely devastated by what happened last night," Scott said in a Twitter post. "My prayers go out to the families and all those who were hurt by what happened at the Astroworld Festival."
Scott added he will support all families in need.
"The crowd, for reasons we do not yet know, started pushing each other to get to the stage. This made the people in front of them unable to escape the situation. As the situation got worse, people were seen "They fell to the ground unconscious. Some of them suffered a heart attack," authorities told CNN.
