Health authorities have warned of rare Covid symptoms, such as " Covid's tongue ", redness and changes in the fingers and toes - but now there is another sign that you may have had coronavirus: Covid nails.
Professor Tim Spector, lead investigator for the Zoe Covid Symptom Study app, shared a photo on Twitter, suggesting that Covid nails - the visible lines on the nails - "are becoming more and more popular".
Do your nails look odd? COVID nails are increasingly being recognised as the nails recover after infection and the growth recovers leaving a clear line. Can occur without skin rashes and appears harmless pic.twitter.com/Q1Lfdrc9Dc

Dr. Tanya Bleiker, president of the British Association of Dermatologists, told HuffPost that it is something dermatologists are witnessing in patients with Covid.
"These changes have long been known as 'Beau lines' and are transverse cuts on one nail, or all of them, on the fingernails and sometimes even the toenails," she said.
Stripes can appear on fingernails between two and three weeks after an illness - and a little later on toenails. "They are harmless and disappear over time," added Dr. Bleiker.
It should be noted that these lines do not appear only by Covid. Other causes include stroke, eczema, malnutrition, Raynaud's disease, hypertension, epilepsy, kidney problems, Kawasaki disease, and chemotherapy.
If they do not go away, or increase too much, you should talk to a dermatologist to better understand what causes them.
