There are many reasons why a couple chooses to end their marriage, just as there are many others that make people reflect. What could have avoided divorce? What could I do to save the marriage?
1.
"Now I realized that marriage should be 'us' as a union and not 'me and them.' It took me a while to process this lesson, but at least for the second time it was worth it to me."
2.
"I never told her when I was upset. I just kept it to myself until I exploded one day. It created a bad environment where she was unhappy and not in love and none of us talked about how she felt. "Both sides were to blame."
3.
"If we had a monthly / annual audit of our finances and worked together for a better income plan, we would not be split."
4.
"You should know that marriage is not 50/50 - it is 100/100."
5.
"I did not think the arrival of a child could bring him on the right track."
6.
"I would have saved the marriage if I had not been so selfish. 20 years later, I lectured, I learned, but I repented."
7.
"The desire to save the marriage would save him. Neither he nor I had it."
8.
"We were not good to each other. We did not help each other grow."
