If there is anything more annoying than acne itself, it is the marks they leave behind on the skin. And we’re talking about inflamed red marks, which remain to remind us that we didn’t get away so easily from that big acne in the middle of the forehead.
However, there is hope and we have two choices:
- Have long patience and wait for the natural skin renewal cycle to remember to fade your scars.
- Skin care, duh!
With acne scars can help a variety of ingredients which are found in various products. However, if you have to choose only one, it is the sunscreen.
The sun is the main cause of the appearance of acne scars, which are nothing but overproduction of pigment in the skin, which is stimulated by acne inflammation.
In addition to sunscreen, which is essential and should not be missing any day of the year, some other ingredients that can help fade acne scars are retinoids, azelaic acid, vitamin C, arbutin, niacinamides, kojic acid, AHA etc.
Such ingredients help to fade hyperpigmentation directly by stimulating cell renewal or by slowing down the process of melamine synthesis in the skin.
