If you only wear sneakers, you should pair them with these jeans like the '90s icons

Converse were a real sensation during the '90s. Leaving the sports world behind, they became the most coveted shoes of the time and emerged as part of the grunge aesthetic that dominated the decade.

Their comfort gave them a special place in the fashion of the moment and designers like Marc Jacobs embraced them, presenting them on the catwalks, like the one for Perry Ellis in spring-summer 1993. For the first time, "street" clothing had a grand stage to shine and sneakers became the perfect way to complete a look without overdoing it.

'90s stars immediately adopted them. Drew Barrymore, for example, paired her "cigarette" jeans with a red polka-dot top, red lipstick, and natural blonde beach waves for a look that looked effortlessly luxurious.

While Gwyneth Paltrow interpreted the minimal and sophisticated style, whether on the red carpet or outings with her then-boyfriend, Brad Pitt. One of her famous looks : white shirt, black vest, leather jacket and cigarette jeans, a style that today inspires Hailey Bieber and Kendall Jenner, two fans of versatile and classic clothing.

And although time has passed, the aesthetic power of this combination has not faded. "Cigarette" jeans and sneakers remain inseparable. By combining them with jackets, you create a  casual look, but also suitable for the office or a quick lunch.

Hair accessories, pearl bracelets, and small bags complete the look and make it suitable for the transition between seasons.

The grunge aesthetic of the '90s has not been forgotten. Stylists and fashion experts continue to follow the example of Drew Barrymore and Gwyneth Paltrow, combining "cigarette" jeans with sneakers, leather jackets and black bodysuits.

This combination prioritizes comfort without sacrificing style, exactly as the '90s conceived it.
