A serious and shocking event happened in Clearwater, Florida, where Renato Muhaj, 34 years old, killed his 32-year-old ex-wife and kidnapped the 8-year-old little girl. The American authorities managed to arrest her and the girl was found safe and sound.
Renato was charged with first-degree murder, child abuse and kidnapping, Police Chief Mike Soux said in a press release. US media reported the news, saying the investigation began in the early hours of the morning after the man hit the parents and forcibly took their phone so they could not contact the police for help.
The local police requested the help of the authorities in Largo and searched the house of Suela Saliaj, Renato's ex-girlfriend and the mother of his child, the 8-year-old little girl, Alessia. Authorities went to her home and found the girl dead. "Part of the investigation is still ongoing, but clearly, we are dealing with a murder," said Soux.
Since the little girl was not in the apartment, the police alluded that she might have been taken by her father. 5 hours later, around 8:00 am, they tracked down a car, the Kia Sportrage (2017), suspected to be his vehicle. Renato and Alessia were found in the car. He was immediately arrested and taken into custody, while the girl was taken to family members.
Although Suela and Renato were separated and lived in different houses, this did not stop the 34-year-old from taking the life of his ex-girlfriend. The reason for the murder is still unknown, and at the moment there is no information if Suela had obtained a protection order against Renato.
