It's official: The series "Squid Game" will return to Netflix for its third and final season on June 27. In a chilling scene not seen in the teaser trailer , the main character, Gi-hun, appears inside a large black gift box, which guards use as a coffin for dead players. The other players, frightened and curious, approach and open the box, revealing Gi-hun inside. The moment he wakes up, the audience is transported to the beginning of a new cycle of games. The series creator has announced that this season will focus more on the psychological and moral aspects, significantly closing the saga that "stuck" behind the screen for millions of viewers around the world.
The trailer features the reappearance of familiar characters from the series: Detective Hwang Jun-ho, as well as players Myung-gi (player 333), Dae-ho (player 388), Hyun-ju (player 120), Yong-sik (player 007), Geum-ja (player 149), Jun-hee (player 222), Min-soo (player 125), Nam-gyu (player 124), and the pink-uniformed guard No-eul.
Created by Hwang Dong-hyuk, this South Korean thriller became a global phenomenon thanks to its dark themes, social class, and deadly, predictable games. The story follows protagonist Seong Gi-hun (Player 456), a man deep in debt, who is drawn into a mysterious game where the winner receives a large sum of money, but the losers pay with their lives.
The main character, Gi-hun, will return to the game, but this time with a different goal: to destroy this deadly system. After the death of his friend and shocking revelations about the origins of the game, Gi-hun will face more dangers, betrayals and clashes with other characters. The return of the mysterious character Front Man and the presence of a new figure, a newborn child, further increase the tension and drama of the final season.
