Fear of pain during sex or urinary tract problems are the key reasons why women avoid intimacy over the years. Two out of ten women who have gone through menopause claim to avoid sex because they are afraid they will have pain, while one in ten claimed to have bladder problems.
Through this study the experts found that the decline in sexual activity over the years comes not necessarily because they are not interested in sex, but in fact the problem for some is mainly physical.
Pain during sex was reported as a problem by 20% of them, while 9% had bladder problems, related to the fear that they might urinate in bed or maybe you will have to stop the act and go to the toilet.
