Albania was shocked this Tuesday, July 2, by a serious incident recorded in a village in Patos. A 12-year-old girl was repeatedly raped by her father.
The testimony of the minor and the uncovering of the truth
The minor left her apartment in the early hours of the morning, in an attempt to escape her father, running to the neighbors' apartment. As soon as she arrived there, the neighbors called the police and the minor girl was questioned.
She stated that her father had forced sexual intercourse with her, which is why she left home. But the story becomes even more tragic, as during her testimony she confessed that this situation had continued for 7 years. According to the testimony, she was sexually abused by her father since the age of 5 in a systematic manner.
Father's testimony
The perpetrator, 36, was accompanied by blue uniforms during the investigation phase. In his testimony, he claimed to have had sexual intercourse with his daughter, but stressed that the monstrous act only occurred once.
On the other hand, medical examinations have confirmed sexual abuse.
Testimony of the minor's mother
The minor's mother has told several local media outlets that she learned the truth after her daughter testified to the police, stressing that she was unaware of the sexual abuse. She added that her daughter had shown signs of aggression and depression, but had never confessed to being abused.
"I am a mother of 7 children, 5 boys and 2 girls. At 4 o'clock, my second daughter informed me that the eldest daughter had run away from home. I called the police, the police found the girl and the girl had told them that her father had raped her. The girl told them everything, she is only 12 years old.
I didn't understand anything, the girl didn't tell me anything. I just saw her angry and fighting with her siblings. She had gone into depression until she was forced to leave the apartment.
"He had gone to a neighbor, who had fed him, and later they had notified the police," she said.
She also demanded that her husband be given the maximum punishment for this monstrous crime.
"A man who rapes a child should get the maximum sentence and rot in prison. I don't want that. I will be strong for my children. I didn't understand anything. In my eyes, he never did anything," she added.
