Being obsessed with video games comes with quite a few disadvantages; tired eyes, headaches, long sitting posture, and many others, but not an inelastic mind! Based on recent studies, experts have concluded that video games can do more good than bad to our health.
For this experiment it took 33 people aged 55-75 years, who were divided into 3 groups. The first group was asked to play Mario 64 for 30 minutes during the day, the second group was given piano lessons, while the third group was not asked to do any specific tasks.
After 6 months, it turned out that the individuals of the first group, those who played video games underwent changes in mental health. The positive impact on the brain improved short-term memory as well as mental health.
According to experts from the American Association of Psychology, by playing video games, people can quickly change their mood, relieve stress, anxiety and calm down. Want another reason? Such games are likely to make you even smarter and more agile in solving life problems.
