During a recent interview, Meghan Markle spoke about the death of Queen Elizabeth, Prince Harry and the children.
"There's been a lot of love and support this time. I'm so grateful that I was there for my husband to give him my support, especially during this time. It's so beautiful to see the legacy that his grandmother left for him in so many ways." Meghan told Variety.
While talking about Queen Elizabeth, she described her as the shining example that a leading figure can have.
"I feel deep gratitude that I had the opportunity to know her and spend time with her. It was a difficult period, but my husband, being the optimist that he is, told me from time to time: 'Now she is reunited with her husband'."
Asked about "any details she has remembered since the day the Queen passed away", Meghan said:
"I reflected on the first official meeting I had with him, how special he was. I felt lucky and continue to be very proud of the warm welcome he gave me in the family."
The duchess added that it's the big moments in life that make you see things in different perspectives.
