Ryan Reynolds' private messages, in which he defends Blake Lively during the making of the film "It Ends With Us", have been made public as part of the legal process with Justin Baldoni.

A representative for the actor reacted after their publication.
"Yes, Ryan got involved. What husband wouldn't support his wife and the mother of his children?" the actor's rep told Puck News, in an article titled 'Is There a Chance Blake Will Be Fired and Can Ryan Avoid the Consequences?'"
He continued, saying: “Ryan watched his wife struggle every day to deal with sexual harassment in private, only to be met with retaliation. Ryan even thinks his response was more restrained than it should have been. He strongly believes and will always defend the fundamental right to a safe, harassment-free, and retaliation-free workplace for his wife and others. Then, now, and always.”

On January 21, Justin Baldoni's lawyer, Bryan Freedman, stated:
"As we have stated from the outset and as reflected in our clients' legal requests, as well as in the messages from Sony discussing Ms. Lively's conduct, the evidence does not support her allegations from a legal perspective. A simple reading of the recently released messages makes matters even clearer. We are confident that through the legal process, the names of Justin Baldoni and all parties involved in the matter will be cleared."
Among Ryan Reynolds' recently released messages is a message sent in August 2024 to his manager, Warren Zavala, right at the time when "It Ends With Us" was achieving great success over the weekend in theaters, while rumors were circulating online about the dramas that had occurred behind the scenes.
"I'm so angry because this is a moment when Blake should be celebrating. She made this success possible," he wrote.

In the same lengthy message, Ryan Reynolds claimed that Justin Baldoni and his studio Wayfarer Studios had "created a huge mess" and that Blake Lively "should not be treated as a 'controlling woman' in a derogatory manner."
In another text message exchange from July 2024, addressed to a WME executive (one of Hollywood's largest talent management agencies), Ryan Reynolds reportedly referred to Justin Baldoni as "a dangerous and highly skilled con artist" and the entire situation as "a harmful and inexplicable mess."

The trial between the actors began in December 2024, and in recent weeks, several private conversations between the actress and her husband Ryan Reynolds have been published.
