Contacted by ABC News, Alvin's father, 11-year-old Afrim Berisha, confessed that his son is no longer in the Syrian camp.
Their last contact is on September 25, and since that day Afrim has no longer communicated with Alvin. But yesterday, through a contact with him in Syria, Berisha learned that Alvin is no longer in the camp and his whereabouts are unknown.
Afrim Berisha, fearing for his life, told ABC News he would head to Syria himself. After being published in the media and after the show "Le Iene", which has covered this story for a long time, Afrim said that he had been promised help from the Italian state, but the situation seems to have worsened lately.
Now, the 11-year-old's whereabouts remain a mystery, while Afrim added he will no longer give interviews in the media.
