According to science, intelligent people should thank mothers, as mothers are primarily responsible for transmitting intelligence-related genes to their child.
It is estimated that 40-60% of intelligence is hereditary.
Research shows that children are more likely to inherit their mother’s intelligence as intelligence genes are found on the X chromosome.
The researchers state that the fathers' cells were not found in the cerebral cortex, where the most advanced cognitive functions develop: intelligence, reasoning, planning and language skills.
However, we must not forget that our intelligence is not 100% genetic.

No matter what genetics experts say, fathers should not feel bad about themselves.
By being emotionally available and becoming a role model for their child, a father contributes to the child's development as much as the mother.
The IQ we were born with may be important, but in the long run it is by no means a decisive factor.
