The installation of a memorial plaque in honor of Albanian poet Lasgush Poradeci in Vienna, where he lived and was formed for almost a decade, has caused strong reactions from people, as not even his daughters were invited to the ceremony.

One of the poet's two daughters, Marie Gusho, has reacted publicly through a post on Facebook, announcing that she received the information about the ceremony by chance from the Albanian Ambassador to Austria, Fate Velaj, and not through an official invitation.
According to her post, Marie Gusho emphasizes that she has not received any invitation or official notification from the Municipality of Pogradec, despite the fact that the mayor of this municipality will participate in the ceremony with an official delegation.

Further, she also reveals a private conversation with Ambassador Fate Velaj, where she asks:
"Hello, does this announcement serve as an invitation? But who covers the expenses?"
The ambassador's response, according to her, was brief:
"It's information. I don't know anything about expenses."
The ceremony for the installation of the commemorative plaque will take place on February 5, in Graz, in the apartment where the poet Lasgush Poradeci lived. The event will be attended by the Mayor of Graz, the Mayor of Pogradec with an official delegation, as well as the Ambassador of Albania to Austria.
Meanwhile, in the comments on Marie Gusho's post, people have harshly criticized Albanian institutions, calling it unacceptable that the poet's direct heirs are not invited to such a symbolic event. Marie has responded to the comments with equal indignation.

Lasgush Poradeci lived and studied for about 10 years (1924-1933) in Austria, mainly in Vienna, where he became acquainted with the most advanced literary and philosophical currents of the time, influences that would later appear strongly in his lyrical and philosophical poetry. It is Vienna that is considered the place where the poet who would leave an indelible mark on Albanian culture was intellectually formed.
