Jennifer Lawrence has spoken openly about married life and family with husband Cooke Maroney, revealing the little secret that helps them keep their marriage healthy.
The 35-year-old actress was a guest on the "SmartLess" podcast, where she talked about how she and Maroney, with whom she has two children, work as a team, despite being "complete opposites."
"I married someone who is the complete opposite of me," Lawrence said. "He's super organized. Everything is in perfect order. I have a few 'little tasks' that I try really hard to get done."

Jennifer admitted that she has always found it difficult to stick to a strict schedule, but motherhood has made her realize how important organization is.
“Now I understand, I really do,” she said. “Children have a very strict schedule for everything. Everything is planned, breakfast at 7:30, for example.”
According to her, Cooke is the one who keeps the family "on track," while she sometimes finds it harder to keep up. For this very reason, the couple has established a golden rule.
"To keep the marriage alive, we've learned something: I have a tolerance of 15 minutes," the actress explained, adding that this little "space" saves her from a lot of unnecessary tension.

So, the "15-minute tolerance" is a practical agreement between the couple that allows Jennifer to be up to 15 minutes late from her scheduled times without being seen as a problem and without causing conflict within the couple.
Jennifer Lawrence and Cooke Maroney first got together in 2018 after being introduced through a mutual friend. They got engaged in February 2019 and married in October of that year in Rhode Island, in a ceremony attended by celebrities including Adele, Kris Jenner, and Amy Schumer.
The couple have two children: son Cy, 3, and a baby girl born in early 2024, whose name or gender they have not yet revealed.

Although they keep their private lives out of the spotlight, Lawrence has spoken out about her husband from time to time. In a 2019 interview, she described him as "the best man she's ever met" and said that accepting his proposal was "the easiest decision."
In an interview with Vanity Fair in 2021, Jennifer shared a simple, yet significant, detail from their life as a couple:
"I really like going to the supermarket with him. It seems like a metaphor for marriage: we have a list, we know what we need, and we do it together."
