Hilary Duff is focusing on her provocative new music while her name is embroiled in Ashley Tisdale's "toxic" mom group drama.
The 38-year-old actress and singer released a video in which she appears completely unfazed, singing a yet-unreleased song with explicit lyrics. Wearing a yellow dress, Duff sings in the middle of a green field, under the rays of the sun.

The song is about a couple who longs to return to the most passionate and exciting phase of their relationship, having lost the initial spark. The lyrics express longing for the first moments, the passion, emotions and “butterflies in the stomach” that come with new love, before routine turns the relationship into a life without fire.

In straightforward verses, Duff sings about longing for the beginning, not the end, of a relationship, of wild nights, secret trysts, and a physical passion that was once alive but now seems faded. Some lines are particularly provocative, openly describing sexual frustration and a lack of attention from a partner.

Her post comes shortly after Duff's husband, musician Matthew Koma, lashed out at Ashley Tisdale after the latter publicly criticized her former mom group in an essay for The Cut magazine. In that piece, Tisdale implied that the group - which included Hilary Duff, Mandy Moore and Meghan Trainor - was "toxic."

Although Tisdale's representatives denied that she was directly referring to Duff and others, Hilary's husband reacted with irony on social media, publishing a fake cover of The Cut with a headline mocking Ashley, which read: "When you're the most selfish and out-of-touch person in the world, other mothers tend to shift their attention to their children."

In her essay, Ashley Tisdale wrote that she felt excluded from group meetings, which made her feel "not cool enough " and confused about why she was being left out. She said she sent them a message saying that this situation seemed "like teenage behavior" to her and that she no longer wanted to be a part of it, emphasizing that she did not consider mothers "bad people," with any possible exceptions.

Meanwhile, Hilary Duff seems to be leaving the drama behind, turning her attention to music, passion, and candid stories about life as a couple. :)
