Jennifer Garner has recently opened up about her divorce from Ben Affleck, revealing that the hardest part of the split was the breakup of the family and the loss of a "real partnership."
The actress spoke to Marie Claire magazine about the media attention that accompanied their divorce in 2015 and the difficulties of constantly being in the public eye.

“It doesn’t do me any good to follow rumors about myself or others, especially when my children are involved, so I don’t,” she said. “You have to be smart to understand what you can and can’t handle. I couldn’t handle what was going on. But that wasn’t the hardest part.”
According to Garner, the real pain was the separation itself:
"The difficult thing was the breakup of the family. The loss of a true companion and friendship was what hurt the most."
Jennifer Garner and Ben Affleck were married for 10 years and have three children. The divorce was finalized in October 2018.

After the split, she moved on with her partner John Miller, but maintained a close relationship with Ben Affleck for the sake of their children. She was often seen at family events with her ex-husband and even stood by him during his divorce from Jennifer Lopez in 2024.
A close source has revealed that the bond between Ben Affleck and Jennifer Garner will always remain strong due to their shared history and parenting.
