Miley Cyrus has confirmed her engagement to her partner of four years, musician Maxx Morando. The Grammy Award winner was spotted wearing a gold diamond ring on her engagement finger at the premiere of “Avatar: Fire and Ash” in Los Angeles on Monday.
In an interview with “Good Morning America” on Wednesday, the 33-year-old said Maxx proposed during a trip to Asia.
"I'm not easily surprised because I like to control every situation and I had completely given up on that instinct and I'm telling you, I was so, so, so surprised," she said.
Proudly showing off the ring, Miley said her partner had made a very good choice.
"Max and I have been together for four years and the development we have undergone is very evident. You will always have someone by your side who tells you that you can do it," the singer continued.
Miley was previously married to Australian actor Liam Hemsworth in 2018. The couple dated for a decade, but announced their divorce in 2019. Speaking to British Vogue in 2023, the singer said that she and Morando met after going on a "blind date."
Morando is the drummer for the band Liily. The band performed on NBC's "Miley's New Year's Eve Party" in 2022, along with artists such as Cyrus' godmother Dolly Parton and David Byrne.
