Karim Adeyemi, the Borussia Dortmund and German national team striker, has been fined 450,000 euros following a criminal order issued by the Wetter Court after authorities found prohibited weapons in his car, including a metal baton and an electro-pulse device.
According to reports in German tabloid BILD, the case will not go to a public trial, as the criminal order has already become final. The prosecutor's office confirmed that the proceedings have been closed, while the footballer's lawyer said that the equipment was received by chance through a "mystery box" ordered online, without giving any further explanation.
The German Football Association has clarified to SportBild that it will not take sporting measures against Adeyemi, although coach Julian Nagelsmann and other federation officials have met with the player to discuss the situation. The player will have an administrative entry in the central register, but is not considered a criminal conviction under the German system, as the fine does not exceed the threshold that turns it into a criminal record.
BILD also mentioned his partner, Loredana, describing the couple as a duo with a luxurious lifestyle that has attracted great attention in Germany.
According to some local media, the period when the check was carried out was related to a trip the couple took to Greece during the summer of 2024, although there is no evidence that it is part of the investigation or has a role in the allegations.
