Meghan Markle is returning to acting, despite previously stating that she had "closed" that chapter of her life. On November 5, the Duchess of Sussex was spotted on the set of her new film Close Personal Friends in Pasadena, California, according to initial reports from The Sun.
“Meghan was on set today,” a source told PEOPLE. “She has a small role. She seemed relaxed and happy. She introduced herself to everyone, she was very sweet and approachable.”
Meghan is reportedly set to play herself in the Amazon-MGM Studios film , which also stars Brie Larson, Lily Collins, Jack Quaid and Henry Golding. The romantic comedy follows a couple who meet a famous couple during a trip to Santa Barbara, a perfect tie-in to Meghan and Prince Harry's Montecito estate.
This role marks her first return to acting since marrying Harry in May 2018. Since then, the couple has stepped back from royal duties and settled in California, where they are raising their two children, Prince Archie, 6, and Princess Lilibet, 4.
