Selena Gomez shared some candid thoughts with PEOPLE magazine about how she takes care of herself during difficult times, while delivering her speech at the Rare Impact Fund benefit in Los Angeles.
The singer, actress, and founder of Rare Beauty shared how she manages to stay strong despite challenges:
“There are days when you just have to let yourself experience everything you feel. Then, you laugh. I don't know what the 'key' is. I just know what works for me. I like to meet a friend, talk to my therapist, and seek out people who can help me in that moment.”

She shared these tips at an evening that perfectly matched her message, an event dedicated to supporting young people's mental health.
The Rare Impact Fund aims to raise $100 million to fund mental health programs, with the event held at NYA Studios West , hosted by Jimmy Kimmel and featuring performances by The Marías and Laufey.
Selena attended the event accompanied by her husband, Benny Blanco, whom she recently married in Santa Barbara on September 27.
“I hope we continue to raise funds for what we do around the world. We manage to touch the lives of 2 million young people every day. This fills me with enthusiasm, because we really see the difference we are making. It is something truly extraordinary,” she said.
