A letter to you who once was everything
There are days when memories come uninvited. A scent, a song, a familiar place, and suddenly my mind goes back to where it all began.
It was summer. The sun was burning, and I didn't know that that day would change me. That's where I met you. Without any plan, without any prediction, just by chance. And maybe, like everything beautiful in life, it happened to us by chance.
I remember how everything seemed easy at first, like the casual conversations, like the long walks in the evenings, like the way we laughed about meaningless things. Then came the hard days, the ones that test every relationship. We fought, we broke up, we found each other again… because back then maybe we didn't know how to give up, even when we needed to.
I can't say that every memory is easy, but none is unnecessary. Everything we experienced, beautiful or painful, taught me something. It taught me how to love, how to forgive, how to move forward.
Now my life is different. I have walked in a different direction, calmer, more mature. I have new people around me, other dreams, plans that have nothing to do with the girl I once was. But that girl, the one who fell in love on the beach, who believed in every feeling, still lives somewhere inside me.
And when I think of him, I remember you too. Not as a wound, not as a hostage, but as a tender memory. Like a wine that will never return, but that I will always hold dear.
I hope you are well. That life has brought you peace, light, and people who love you for who you are.
With fond memories,
Me!
