The Mayor of Kolonja, Erion Isai, has been named a defendant by the Special Prosecution Office.
Also, 6 other officials of this institution have been taken into custody by SPAK.
Isai, along with 6 other officials, is accused of violating equality in tenders and abuse of office.
According to SPAK, it concerns the tender for the Korçë-Ersekë road and the Kolonjë Water Supply. The new Korçë-Ersekë road suffered a collapse in part on February 17, 2024 while it was still under construction. The damage occurred at the location called 'Qafa e Qarrit – Mollas'. The new Korçë-Ersekë road was built by the company "ANK", while the procurer is the Albanian Road Authority, reports shqiptarja.com.
On the other hand, there is no reaction from Isai himself on the accusations raised by the Special Prosecution Office.
