Every new day is a new beginning. And so is every new week. Since we have just entered a new season, let's see what we can do to start our week in a dynamic and motivated way, because who knows, this could also be a good start for the rest of the year.
Make a list of things that went wrong in the last few days.
Write down the things that didn't go so well the last few days and think about ways you can improve them. Keep notes with them and jot down any new ideas you might have for projects you want to do. If your list is too long, start with the first three.
Write down next week's tasks.
Plan out the week ahead early (ideally on Friday evening or very early Monday morning). Make sure to write anything you couldn't do the previous days at the top of your list so that you have as few pending tasks as possible.
Be realistic about your obligations and make sure you don't overload an 8-hour schedule with 24-hour work. It's important to be punctual in your obligations, but also not to "overwhelm."
Organize your professional space
Whether you work from home or in the office, your workspace should be tidy. There's nothing worse than coming back to the office on Monday morning and seeing a messy desk, with papers, notes, and even dirt.
On Friday, just before you head home, clear your desk, organize your essentials, and jot down notes so you know where to start. This is a quick process that shouldn't take more than half an hour to an hour. This way, your weekend will be free of thoughts and stress, and your work will start calmly and organized. Just enough to make Monday seem less stressful.
