Invited to the show "Rudina" on TV Klan, Elia Zaharia spoke publicly for the first time after her separation from Prince Leka. She shared some of her thoughts and experiences during this difficult period.
Asked by Rudina what she has learned the most from this period, Elia answered without hesitation:
"I'll say it in one word: the dimension of forgiveness. That, for me, is priceless."
Rudina further asked how she currently feels and Elia indicated that, despite the complexity of the situation, she feels supported and blessed by her family:
"It has been a complex period, but I thank God every day for the support that my family, my circle, has given me. I am very lucky that my parents, my family, are not only family, but they are also my best friends, with whom I can share everything: the difficult things, the happy things. And, oh God, I say: just love and thank our parents every day for as long as they are."
Another important moment of the interview was when Elia spoke about her biggest priority – her daughter, Geraldine.
"What is a priority for me is the well-being of my daughter. I want her to feel warm and receive love from both sides. For me, that's the only thing that matters."
When Rudina commented on the girl's beauty, like a little princess, Elia added:
"She grows up with values, that's what matters. Because true nobility is in the heart. Nobility is not given by titles or positions. I wish her to have a pure heart, to be a good girl, to prepare herself, to become her own master and to love people, to be noble at heart."
At the end of the conversation, as if to close with a message of hope, Rudina emphasized that "time will put everything in its place" - an idea with which Elia completely agreed.
After more than a decade of cohabitation and a magnificent wedding in 2016, Elia Zaharia and Prince Leka decided to end their marriage. The news was made public in early 2024, through an official statement from Prince Leka, which emphasized that the separation was done with mutual understanding and respect, with the common priority being the well-being of their daughter, Geraldine. Despite the media noise, both have chosen to maintain dignity and privacy, showing a high level of prudence and nobility in public behavior.
