In the trial against Sean "Diddy" Combs, his former personal assistant, David James, has given detailed testimony about the singer's daily life during the period he worked for him, from 2007 to 2009.
Use of substances and pills with the image of Barack Obama
Barack Obama's name has been included in the trial against P.Diddy, after it was mentioned by his former assistant, who said the rapper used ecstasy in the form of the former president's portrait.
David James, who worked for the Bad Boy label for two years, testified in court Tuesday and told the jury that he had seen Diddy with a variety of different pills, including one with a very special feature.
According to James' testimony, one of the ecstasy pills was in the shape of a former president's face. When prosecutor Christy Slavik asked him directly which president it was, he replied: "Barack Obama."
James also testified that in addition to ecstasy pills, Diddy also used Viagra, weight loss pills, and supplements to increase sperm count.
In his testimony, he also said that while working for Diddy, he consumed ecstasy and vodka, describing this as a rapper's lifestyle.
Earlier in the trial, federal agents testified that they had found ketamine and MDMA in Diddy's New York hotel room after his arrest in September 2024. Photos from the search of the room have already been presented as evidence in court.
Sean “Diddy” Combs is accused of a series of serious criminal offenses, including sexual abuse, blackmail, physical violence and exploitation for prostitution. This trial began on May 5, 2025 and is the result of a lawsuit filed by his ex-girlfriend, singer Cassie Ventura, who accuses him of a cycle of violence and abuse that has lasted more than 10 years.
