Kim Kardashian, one of the most recognizable figures of the Met Gala, was not absent from this year's big fashion evening in New York - and this time, it seems that she had her most special companion with her: daughter North West. A few hours before appearing on the red carpet, Kim published on Instagram a video where she and North appeared getting ready for the big night; a mother-daughter moment that could not help but attract attention.
Kim appeared wearing Chrome Hearts (accompanied by a Melania Trump-style hat), while North wore makeup, blue braids, and a suit that looked like animal skin.
The video led many to speculate whether North would break the Met Gala rule set by Anna Wintour, which only allows participation for those aged 18 and over.
But it seems North just wanted to spend time with her mom, because after they left the hotel and got in the car, Kim walked the red carpet alone. Maybe North watched everything from the car.
She'll have to wait another seven years for her red carpet moment. Until then, she'll just have to settle for pizza and popcorn with her mom after the Met Gala.
