Singer Dafina Zeqiri has responded to criticism related to her performances during pregnancy. Through an Instastory, she states that the stage is therapy for her and it has always been so, so it will be so in this phase of life.
Dafina emphasized that she does not perform because of financial income, but simply because this is what makes her happy.
"I am pregnant and continue to perform in concerts, because that is why I started this journey in the first place. Since childhood, performance and music have been therapy for me - they have helped me cope with depression, express myself freely, and face life's challenges, whether emotional or physical. Even when I have not felt well, the stage has been my place of healing," she wrote.
She also added that girls and women should do what they want during pregnancy, as this is not a period where life stops. Dafina added that being pregnant is not an illness, responding once and for all to criticism of her very energetic performances on stage.
"I do this work not for money, but out of pure love for music and art. I believe that every woman has the right and power to continue her career during pregnancy, as long as she is healthy and has a safe pregnancy. Being pregnant does not mean that you are sick or that you have to stop your life," she added.
Dafina announced the news of her pregnancy in January of this year, announcing that she is expecting a boy.
She and businessman, Kreshnik Gjergji, have long been in a romantic relationship that has been constantly in the spotlight.
