Around 600 former Israeli security officials, including former Mossad and military leaders, have urged Donald Trump to pressure Prime Minister Netanyahu to stop the war in Gaza and return the hostages.

They emphasize that Hamas no longer poses a strategic threat and that the solution is to end the conflict, not expand it. Meanwhile, Netanyahu is considering escalating the offensive, despite domestic protests and international pressure for a ceasefire.

Denmark Zoo seeks unwanted pets to feed predators

Aalborg Zoo in northern Denmark has asked citizens to donate unwanted pets, such as rabbits, piglets or chickens, to be used as food for predators.

According to officials, this helps preserve the natural behavior of carnivorous animals and avoids wasting resources. The initiative has sparked public debate, between those who see it as a natural way of feeding and those who oppose the use of domestic animals as prey.

Pakistan resumes forced deportations of 1.4 million Afghan refugees despite UN concerns

Pakistani authorities have resumed the forced deportation of around 1.4 million Afghans after they were not granted an extension to their stay, drawing criticism from the UNHCR.

In total, more than 1.2 million Afghans have returned from Iran and Pakistan this year, raising the risk of instability in Taliban-ruled Afghanistan. Police are stopping refugees without valid documents and transporting them to the border, while many had hoped for additional time to resolve personal issues.
