The technology billionaire, Elon Musk had an opinion regarding the (complicated) migrant agreement between Albania and Italy and did not hesitate to share it on his "X" platform.
Musk, referring to the decision of the Italian courts to detain immigrants in the reception centers in Albania, said that the judges behind these verdicts should be removed.
One sentence from the billionaire was enough to create a "whirlwind" of reactions and criticism.
Lega Secretary Matteo Salvini immediately shared Musk's position on the matter, echoing him.
"Yet another decision by the judges that prevents the departure of illegal immigrants from Italian territory is not a slap in the face to the government, but a choice that endangers the safety and wallet of Italians," writes Salvini.
There were also voices against. Ernesto Carbone, a lay member of the Supreme Council of the Judiciary (CSM), called Musk an oligarch who poses a danger to democracy in the world.
"These new oligarchs who use new worlds (such as space, ether, social media and new technologies) to control world politics are a danger to democracy," writes the CSM deputy.
The Court of Rome suspended the stay of seven immigrants in Albania, sending the case to the European Court of Justice.
